About the Doctor
Dr. Rajeev Sood is a highly experienced urologist with over 30 years of specialization and 23 years of service in the Armed Forces. He has received the Vishisht Sewa Medal and is credited with performing the first laparoscopic live donor nephrectomy and cadaver renal transplant in the Armed Forces. He introduced HoLEP in 1999 and pioneered the High Energy Green Light Laser Prostatectomy Program in 2003. As a renal transplant surgeon, he has conducted over 3,000 kidney transplants.
