In 2009, he established the Institute of Liver Disease and Transplantation at Global Gleneagles Health City, which has grown into India’s largest liver transplant program, performing over 1,500 transplants. He also teaches liver transplant surgery at Kings College Hospital, London. After leaving Global Gleneagles, he founded "Dr. Rela Hospital" to provide world-class healthcare to the local community and make high-end procedures like multiple organ transplants more affordable.
