Dr. Sumit Mrig

Dr. Sumit Mrig is a dedicated ENT and Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon specializing in cochlear implantation. Trained under Prof. Mario Sanna in Italy, he has also completed specialized training in snoring and sleep apnea treatment at Singapore General Hospital. Dr. Mrig pioneered binaural cochlear implantation in India, leading the country’s first such procedure at Primus Hospital. With experience in over 5,000 ENT surgeries, he is actively involved in academic research, serving as a reviewer for international ENT journals and publishing numerous articles. He has authored a temporal bone dissection manual for ENT surgeon training and was recently honored with the "Bharat Excellence Award" for his contributions to addressing deafness in India.
