Prof. Dr. Tanaphon Maipang earned his MD from Mahidol University’s Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital in 1976, and further trained in general surgery there by 1980. He later completed sub-specialty certifications in colon and rectal surgery (2006) and surgical oncology (2005) through the Thai Medical Council. With over five decades in surgical oncology, Prof. Dr. Maipang is recognized for his expert handling of complex cancer surgeries, particularly within the gastrointestinal system—including colorectal, thyroid, soft tissue, esophageal, and adrenal gland tumors.
