Bentall Surgery

Bentall surgery is a procedure performed to treat aortic aneurysms and aortic valve disease. It involves replacing the damaged portion of the aorta, including the aortic valve, with a synthetic graft and prosthetic valve. This surgery is often required when the aortic valve and ascending aorta are both affected, ensuring proper blood flow and preventing complications like rupture. There are four main types of Bentall surgery – Mechanical Valve Bentall Procedure, Biological Valve Bentall Procedure, Modified Bentall Procedure, David Procedure (Valve-Sparing).
