Transcatheter Valve Replacement

Transcatheter Valve Replacement (TVR) is a minimally invasive procedure used to replace a damaged heart valve without open-heart surgery. It is commonly performed for aortic valve stenosis through Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) or for mitral valve disease via Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement (TMVR). The procedure involves inserting a catheter through a blood vessel in the groin or chest and positioning the new valve inside the old one.
