Dr. K.S. Iyer

Dr. Krishna Iyer is a distinguished pediatric cardiac surgeon, recognized for his expertise and contributions to cardiac care for children in developing countries. In 1995, he pioneered Northern India’s first dedicated pediatric cardiac program at Escorts Heart Institute (now Fortis-Escorts Heart Institute). Under his leadership, the program set new standards in India and Southeast Asia. He has performed over 10,000 surgeries on infants, children, and adults with congenital heart defects, including arterial switch procedures, TAPVC repairs, Fontan procedures, and complex congenital corrections.
